Title: Hybrid Cloud Engineer / Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Duration: Full-time

Location: Katy, TX

Salary Range: $125K-$135K (or your preferred range)

Work Experiences:

7+ years of experience supporting and engineering enterprise-level IT infrastructure.

Extensive background in virtualization architecture and lifecycle management, including deployment, administration, and migration across hyperconverged, cloud, and traditional environments.

Hands-on experience working with major public cloud platforms in hybrid deployments.

Strong datacenter background with enterprise-grade compute and storage systems.

Proven track record leading infrastructure modernization and migration initiatives.

Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates is beneficial.

Skills:

Expert-level proficiency with Nutanix technologies (AHV, Prism, Calm, Move).

Strong knowledge of VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and NSX.

Cloud expertise across Azure and GCP, including networking, compute, storage, identity, and governance.

Deep understanding of datacenter hardware platforms, including blade and rack systems and enterprise storage arrays.

Experience with disaster recovery and backup technologies, including cloud-based DR solutions.

Automation and monitoring skills using scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) and enterprise monitoring tools.

Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, SOX, and ISO.

Strong documentation, communication, and cross-team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities:

Architect and deploy scalable hybrid cloud solutions integrating on-premises and public cloud environments.

Lead modernization efforts involving migrations from legacy systems to hyperconverged and cloud-based platforms.

Manage virtualization platforms to ensure performance, availability, and security.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to support provisioning, monitoring, and optimization of infrastructure.

Create and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.

Provide advanced (L3/L4) support for escalated infrastructure issues and serve as a technical escalation point.

Contribute to strategic planning, vendor assessments, project execution, and budget recommendations.
